School Performances

Ankle bells jingle, eyes flash, and rhythms resound as Jyoti dances on stage. As she strikes the pose of Lord Krishna, Ruth begins the story: “Once, a terrible 10-headed demon ruled the earth....” The audience holds its breath, absorbed in the beauty of Jyoti’s intricate, rhythmic dance while listening to Ruth’s suspenseful retelling of the ancient epics of India.
