My Story

  • I’ve been telling stories professionally for over 20 years. I travel the world, collecting stories, performing, and teaching workshops and school residencies. My repertoire includes world folktales, stories of adventurous heroines, dilemma tales to solve together, as well as improvised stories based on audience suggestions.

What I Do

  • Classroom Residencies

During multi-week visits to a single classroom, I teach students how to tell stories. We tell folktales, true stories, and stories that we make up, in an atmosphere of trust and focused listening.

  • Assemblies

Invite me for a 45-60 minute assembly at your school. I’ll keep the children listening, learning, and laughing.

  • Performances

I have performed all over the world for audiences of all ages. My shows include a range of personal stories, folktales, and improvisation.

  •  Storytelling and Improvisation Workshops

I lead story circles to teach children and adults how to shape their experiences and anecdotes into stories that ring true. Using a mixture of improvisation and storytelling games, we unleash the creative force within us. The stories we create can then be told or written, turned into a podcast or published as a book.

  • Coaching

I provide one-on-one coaching to storytellers, writers, entrepreneurs and business people who want to make their stories more powerful, memorable, and moving.

Why Stories?

As a storyteller, I believe that we hunger for stories because stories make meaning out of the random events of life.

My passion is helping my students find their authentic storytelling voice. Because when you become the protagonist of your own stories, you can shape the narrative of your life.

Through my storytelling work, people learn to listen more deeply, shape their stories more artfully, and work together as a group to create meaningful experiences.
